Overview

What is Voice Quality Management?

Voice Quality Management turns the measurement systems inside Dollu's voice core into a service you can rely on and report against. Every call across our platform - wholesale termination, origination, SIP trunking or bilateral interconnect - contributes signalling and media statistics to a per-route, per-trunk and per-destination quality model that is refreshed every five minutes and retained for trend analysis.

Passive monitoring captures answer-seizure ratio, average call duration, post-dial delay, network-effectiveness ratio and SIP response distributions from signalling, and packet loss, jitter, latency and estimated MOS from RTP and RTCP. Active testing complements it: a scheduled test-call generator places calls to receiving numbers in 60+ countries, records audio, verifies CLI presentation and measures PDD on chosen routes, so silent failures such as a supplier substituting CLI or a destination playing an announcement are caught without waiting for traffic to expose them.

The service is delivered through dashboards, alerts and people. You set thresholds per destination or per trunk, receive alerts by email, webhook or portal when they are breached, and get an SLA report each month that shows achieved versus committed quality per route. Behind that, NOC engineers watch the same screens around the clock, open tickets with upstream operators when a destination degrades and feed confirmed route changes back into routing so traffic moves off bad supply automatically.

Quality Management is included with committed-volume termination and SIP trunking and is also available as a standalone service for operators who terminate elsewhere but want an independent testing and monitoring layer over their own suppliers, with results delivered by API into their own switch or BI stack.

How it fits together

Wholesale routing: how a call finds its route.

Wholesale routing: how a call finds its route.Per call: authenticate the trunk · fraud checks · tier lookup · best route in tier · destination operatorCARRIER TRUNKSCarriers & MNOsbilateral SIP trunksOTT / aggregatorshigh-volume A–ZContact centresdialler trafficDOLLU SWITCHING CORERouting engineLCR within quality thresholdsFraud engineIRSF · velocity · blacklistsBilling & CDRs1/1 or 60/60 incrementstier per trunk or prefixPremiumdirect · CLI-guaranteedStandardCLI on best effortWholesalecost-optimisedDESTINATIONSTier-1 carriersinternational gatewaysDomestic operatorsin-country routesMobile networksdirect MNO bindsquality feedback: ASR · ACD · PDD · MOS · CLI delivery, measured per routeDegraded routes are demoted automatically within the same tier; you are never silently moved to a cheaper tier to save cost.Fraud controls (IRSF ranges, velocity limits, Wangiri patterns) run before routing; every tier maps to a ranked route list per destination.
Reading the diagramTraffic arrives on carrier trunks and is authenticated, screened by the fraud engine and handed to the routing engine, which picks the best-performing route inside the quality tier you bought - Premium, Standard or Wholesale. Every route to every destination operator is measured continuously for ASR, ACD, PDD, MOS and CLI delivery, and those measurements feed straight back into the next routing decision.
Why Dollu

Why choose Dollu for voice quality.

The advantages of buying from a carrier that owns its network, interconnects and operations - rather than a reseller.

  • Problems found before complaints

Threshold alerts and active testing surface degraded routes, CLI substitution and false answers within minutes rather than after a customer escalation.

  • Evidence for your own SLAs

Route-level KPI history and monthly SLA reports give you the data to hold suppliers to account and to prove quality to your downstream customers.

  • Fewer disputes, faster fixes

Shared, timestamped KPIs and test-call recordings shorten the argument with an upstream operator and get the route repaired sooner.

  • Independent view of any supplier

Run active tests across your own supplier portfolio, not just Dollu routes, and compare vendors on the same measurements.

  • Quality that steers traffic

Because measurement and routing share one engine, a confirmed problem moves traffic automatically instead of waiting for a human to update a route table.

Capabilities

Capabilities in detail.

Everything included with Voice Quality Management - the platform features, options and controls you get from day one.

  1. 01

    Passive KPI monitoring

ASR, ACD, PDD, NER, SIP response-code distribution and CPS from signalling; packet loss, jitter, latency and estimated MOS from RTP/RTCP, aggregated per route, trunk, prefix and customer.

  2. 02

    Active route testing

Scheduled or on-demand test calls to receiving numbers in 60+ countries on any route; audio recording, ringback and answer detection, PDD measurement and codec logging per attempt.

  3. 03

    CLI verification

Detect CLI substitution, stripping or spoofing by comparing presented CLI at the receiving number against sent CLI, per route and per destination, with historical pass rates.

  4. 04

    False-answer and announcement detection

Identify routes returning early answer, fake ringback or network announcements instead of connecting, using audio analysis of test calls and ACD anomalies in live traffic.

  5. 05

    Thresholds and alerting

Per-destination, per-trunk and per-customer thresholds on any KPI, with dead-band and duration logic; alerts by email, webhook, SMS or portal; escalation to NOC.

  6. 06

    SLA reporting

Monthly and on-demand reports of achieved versus committed ASR, ACD, PDD, MOS and CLI delivery per route, with incident annotations and credit calculations where SLAs apply.

  7. 07

    Root-cause and carrier liaison

NOC investigation with SIP ladder diagrams and media statistics; tickets opened and tracked with upstream operators; post-incident summaries shared with you.

  8. 08

    Data access

REST API and SFTP for KPIs, test results, alerts and reports; webhooks for threshold events; exports formatted for common BI and switch-vendor tools.

How it works

How it works.

From first conversation to live traffic - a tracked, engineer-led onboarding with a named owner at every step.

  1. Step 01

    Baseline

We enable monitoring on your trunks and routes and run an initial test campaign across your key destinations to establish quality baselines.

  2. Step 02

    Set thresholds

Agree per-destination and per-trunk thresholds, alert channels and escalation paths. Test schedules are configured for the routes that matter most.

  3. Step 03

    Monitor and alert

Dashboards, alerts and NOC watch run continuously. Confirmed degradations trigger routing changes and carrier tickets, and you are kept informed.

  4. Step 04

    Report and review

Monthly SLA reports and a quality review with your account manager identify chronic routes, supplier issues and threshold adjustments.

Compare

Premium, Standard or Wholesale.

Every destination on the Dollu rate deck is offered in up to three quality tiers. Pick per destination - or per customer - and mix them on one interconnect.

Voice termination tiers compared by CLI delivery, route type, quality band, PDD, SLA and price position.

Passive monitoring derives KPIs from live traffic - every call contributes ASR, PDD, MOS and other statistics without any extra calls being placed. Active testing places controlled test calls to numbers we own in the destination so we can hear the audio, verify CLI and detect false answers. Passive tells you something changed; active tells you what the caller experienced.
