Overview

What is Dedicated Internet Access (DIA)?

Dedicated Internet Access from Dollu gives your site its own port on our backbone with bandwidth reserved for you alone. Unlike business broadband, where dozens of customers share a contended pool and upload is a fraction of download, DIA is symmetric and uncontended: a 1 Gbps service delivers 1 Gbps in both directions, all day, and that is written into the SLA. The circuit terminates on our provider-edge routers in one of 40+ PoPs and rides a 1.4 Tbps backbone that peers directly with Tier-1 carriers and major content and cloud networks.

We deliver on whatever access makes sense for the site: our own fibre and partner fibre in metro areas, Ethernet over fibre or copper from domestic operators, and licensed point-to-point microwave where fibre is months away or a diverse path is needed. Speeds run from 10 Mbps for a small office to 100 Gbps for a data-centre or campus hand-off, and we upgrade in place - most speed changes are a configuration change on our side rather than a new circuit order.

Routing is yours to control. Every service comes with static IPv4 and IPv6 allocations, and you can run BGP with us for full-table, partial or default routing, announce your own provider-independent space, and multi-home to a second Dollu PoP or another carrier. RPKI validation, BGP communities for traffic engineering and 24×7 NOC access to a routing engineer are standard, which matters when you are the one running the peering session.

Because the same port that gives you internet also exposes you to it, DDoS protection is available as an option on any DIA service. Flow telemetry from our edge detects volumetric and protocol attacks within seconds, diverts affected prefixes into scrubbing capacity and returns clean traffic to your port, so a 100 Gbps flood against a public IP does not become a 100 Gbps flood down your 1 Gbps circuit. Everything is monitored from our 24×7 NOC and reported through the portal.

Reading the diagramA branch keeps whichever underlays make sense - MPLS for guaranteed performance, dedicated internet or broadband for capacity, 5G or LTE as wireless backup. The managed SD-WAN edge probes each path continuously and steers traffic per application: voice and video onto the path with the best latency, jitter and loss right now, bulk traffic onto the cheapest path that meets policy. Everything terminates at the nearest Dollu PoP, where the SD-WAN gateway, security stack and backbone give every site the same route to cloud on-ramps, data centres and the internet.
Why Dollu

Why choose Dollu for dedicated internet.

The advantages of buying from a carrier that owns its network, interconnects and operations - rather than a reseller.

  • Bandwidth you actually get

No contention ratio, no fair-use throttling and no asymmetric upload. Backups, video calls and cloud replication run at the rate on the order form, and the portal shows it.

  • Fewer hops to what matters

Our backbone peers directly with Tier-1 transit providers, major CDNs and the hyperscalers at exchanges in London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Ashburn, Mumbai and Singapore, so latency to SaaS and cloud is short and stable.

  • Your addresses, your routing policy

Static space or your own PI block, BGP with communities and RPKI, and engineers who will talk through prepends and local-pref with you rather than read from a script.

  • Attack-ready by design

Add DDoS protection and the circuit is watched continuously; attacks are scrubbed upstream so your firewall, your servers and your bandwidth stay available to legitimate users.

  • Commercials that fit the site

Fixed monthly, 95th-percentile burst or committed-plus-burst billing, 12- to 60-month terms and mid-term upgrades without penalty when your needs grow.

How it works

How it works.

From first conversation to live traffic - a tracked, engineer-led onboarding with a named owner at every step.

  1. Step 01

    Qualify

Send us the site address, speed and resilience needs. We check on-net fibre, partner Ethernet and microwave line of sight and return options with lead times and pricing.

  2. Step 02

    Deliver

We order the access circuit, coordinate building entry and cabling, allocate IP space and configure your port and BGP session on our edge router.

  3. Step 03

    Turn up

Joint testing with RFC 2544 or iperf throughput checks, BGP session verification and DDoS policy activation, followed by a handover document with all technical details.

  4. Step 04

    Operate

24×7 NOC monitoring, proactive alerts on errors or saturation, portal reporting and a named account manager for upgrades and renewals.

Compare

MPLS, DIA, broadband or 4G/5G.

No single transport suits every site. Most Dollu WAN designs mix them - an SD-WAN overlay stitches the underlays together and steers voice and critical apps onto the best path.

Use cases

Who uses this and why.

Typical deployments across carriers, enterprises, platforms and contact centres.

  • Head offices and campuses

A high-capacity, symmetric pipe for hundreds of users on Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, video conferencing and cloud applications, with a second circuit for resilience.

  • Data centres and colocation

10G or 100G transit into your cage with BGP, PI space and DDoS scrubbing for hosting, SaaS and platform businesses.

  • Contact centres and UCaaS

Stable, low-jitter internet for SIP trunks, softphones and CCaaS platforms, with the upload capacity that agent video and screen sharing require.

  • Online commerce and SaaS

Uncontended egress and ingress with clean-pipe DDoS protection so peak-season traffic and attacks do not take revenue offline.

  • Media and broadcasters

Symmetric capacity for contribution feeds, cloud production and large file transfers, deliverable to studios and event venues on fibre or microwave.

  • SD-WAN underlay

DIA as the primary or secondary transport under Dollu managed SD-WAN, with per-site bandwidth chosen to match the application mix.

Still have a question?

Ask our solutions team

Broadband shares capacity between many customers and is typically asymmetric, with upload a fraction of download and no performance guarantee. DIA gives you a dedicated port with the full ordered bandwidth in both directions, an availability and latency SLA with credits, static IP space, the option to run BGP and 24×7 access to network engineers rather than a call centre.
