Overview

What is IoT Connectivity & eSIM?

Dollu IoT connectivity gives device makers, solution providers and enterprises a single global SIM that attaches to the best available mobile network wherever a device is deployed. Our multi-IMSI SIM carries several operator identities and switches between them automatically, so a device shipped from a factory in Shenzhen can power up in São Paulo, Lagos or Leeds and connect without a local contract, a local SIM or a truck roll. Coverage spans more than 190 countries and territories on 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, LTE-M, NB-IoT and 5G, with the radio access technology chosen per device profile.

For products that need remote provisioning, we supply eUICC-capable SIMs - plastic 2FF/3FF/4FF, industrial MFF2 solder-down and iSIM on supported chipsets - managed by an SM-DP+ platform compliant with GSMA SGP.22 for consumer devices and SGP.32 for IoT. Profiles can be downloaded, swapped or deleted over the air, letting you change operator strategy after devices are in the field, localise connectivity to meet permanent-roaming rules, or move an entire fleet to a new carrier without touching a single unit.

Everything is controlled from our connectivity management platform. Activate, suspend and retire SIMs, set data caps and network policies, group devices by product or region, and watch sessions, signalling and usage in real time. The same functions are exposed through a REST API and webhooks so lifecycle events flow straight into your own back-office, ERP or device-management stack. Private APNs, static IPs and IPsec or MPLS breakout keep device traffic off the public internet where the application demands it.

Commercially, we keep IoT simple. Pooled data plans share an allowance across every SIM in an account, so a few chatty devices do not push you into overage while quiet ones sit idle. Rate plans are priced per zone, with low-bandwidth NB-IoT and LTE-M tariffs for sensors and metering, and higher-throughput LTE and 5G plans for routers, cameras and vehicles. Whether you are running 500 pilot units or 5 million connected products, you get one contract, one invoice and one 24×7 NOC.

Why Dollu

Why choose Dollu for iot connectivity.

The advantages of buying from a carrier that owns its network, interconnects and operations - rather than a reseller.

  • Ship one SKU worldwide

A single multi-IMSI SIM covers every market you sell into, so you build one product variant, hold one SIM inventory and stop negotiating with an operator in each country.

  • Change operators without touching devices

eUICC profiles are downloaded, swapped or removed over the air, so you can localise connectivity, cut cost or respond to a permanent-roaming restriction years after deployment.

  • Automate the whole lifecycle

Every action in the portal is available over API - activate SIMs at manufacture, move them to live tariffs on first attach, suspend on non-payment and retire at end of life.

  • Predictable cost at scale

Pooled allowances, per-zone pricing and hard data caps mean a handful of misbehaving devices cannot generate a surprise bill at month end.

  • Traffic that never touches the public internet

Private APNs with static addressing and IPsec or MPLS breakout to your cloud or data centre keep telemetry and firmware traffic isolated and inspectable.

How it works

How it works.

From first conversation to live traffic - a tracked, engineer-led onboarding with a named owner at every step.

  1. Step 01

    Scope the deployment

Tell us your device profile, target countries, radio technology and expected data per device. We return coverage maps, a recommended SIM form factor and a plan proposal within two business days.

  2. Step 02

    Test with sample SIMs

We ship evaluation SIMs or eSIM profiles with a sandbox account so your engineers can validate attach times, throughput and API flows before you commit.

  3. Step 03

    Integrate and provision

Connect the API to your manufacturing or fulfilment system, set up the private APN and alerts, and pre-activate SIMs so devices connect on first power-up.

  4. Step 04

    Scale and manage

Monitor the estate from the platform, roll out eSIM profile changes over the air and let your account manager tune plans as usage patterns settle.

Use cases

Who uses this and why.

Typical deployments across carriers, enterprises, platforms and contact centres.

  • Smart metering and utilities

NB-IoT and LTE-M SIMs for electricity, gas and water meters that must run for years on battery in basements and cabinets with weak signal.

  • Payment terminals and retail

Multi-IMSI SIMs and a private APN for POS terminals, vending machines and kiosks that need PCI-aligned, always-on connectivity in every store.

  • Connected health devices

Remote patient monitors, glucose readers and dispensing devices that ship worldwide and must connect on unboxing without patient setup.

  • Industrial and OEM equipment

Machine builders embedding connectivity at the factory for telemetry, predictive maintenance and remote diagnostics on assets sold into 100+ countries.

  • Security and video

LTE and 5G plans with pooled data for CCTV, alarm panels and body-worn cameras that need burst bandwidth and reliable failover.

A multi-IMSI SIM holds several operator identities on one card and switches between them locally, based on rules we push to it. An eSIM (eUICC) is a SIM whose entire operator profile can be replaced remotely over the air. Many customers use both: an eUICC form factor loaded with a Dollu multi-IMSI profile, giving day-one global coverage plus the option to localise later.
