Overview

What is Live Event & Remote Production Connectivity?

Live events run on a schedule that does not move. Dollu delivers the connectivity a stadium, arena, festival site, esports hall or temporary studio needs - and takes it away again afterwards - planned backwards from your rig, rehearsal and on-air times. Our event team surveys the venue, orders or extends fibre, builds temporary Ethernet and Wi-Fi networks in the compound, provides bonded 5G for mobile and backup links, and puts engineers on site through the event so that the production team can concentrate on the programme.

Remote and REMI production is now the default for many sports and esports properties, and it lives or dies on the link back to the production hub. We build those links as managed circuits with the latency, capacity and protection the format demands: JPEG XS or ST 2110 for uncompressed remote production, SRT or RIST for compressed multi-camera and return feeds, plus intercom, tally, control and file transfer on segregated VLANs. Diverse paths and hitless protection are standard on primary feeds rather than an optional extra.

Where fibre cannot be delivered in time, or for roving cameras and reporters, bonded cellular fills the gap. Our 5G bonding kits aggregate multiple operator networks and, where available, a private 5G or venue Wi-Fi network, delivering reliable uplink for contribution and internet for the production compound. Every path is monitored from our media operations centre alongside your fibre links, so the desk sees the whole event network on one screen and can act on any degradation.

Everything is delivered against an event timeline you agree with a named event manager: survey, design, order, install, test, rehearsal, on-air, strike. Rate cards cover per-event and seasonal contracts, and venues that host events regularly can keep permanent fibre with capacity that scales up for match day. Whether it is a single golf tournament, a full esports league season or a touring show visiting 30 cities, the same team and the same processes deliver it.

Why Dollu

Why choose Dollu for event connectivity.

The advantages of buying from a carrier that owns its network, interconnects and operations - rather than a reseller.

  • Delivered on your timeline

We plan backwards from on-air, own the fibre lead times and dependencies, and give you a named event manager who is accountable for every milestone.

  • Reliability where there is no second take

Diverse routes, hitless protection and bonded cellular backup are standard on primary contribution paths, with engineers on site to act instantly.

  • Reduce crew, trucks and travel

Reliable REMI links let you produce from your hub with a smaller footprint at the venue, cutting cost and carbon per event.

  • One partner for the whole compound

Contribution, production networks, internet, Wi-Fi and cellular from a single team, one plan and one bill.

  • Repeatable for tours and seasons

Templates and stored designs make each subsequent event faster and cheaper to deliver, city after city.

How it works

How it works.

From first conversation to live traffic - a tracked, engineer-led onboarding with a named owner at every step.

  1. Step 01

    Survey and design

We visit or assess the venue, confirm demarcation, distances and power, and produce a design pack with the transport plan and timeline.

  2. Step 02

    Order and build

Fibre orders, circuit extensions, bonded 5G kits and network equipment are procured and pre-configured; construction is scheduled to the plan.

  3. Step 03

    Rig, test and rehearse

Engineers install and test end to end with your production team; failover is exercised and the operations desk takes over monitoring.

  4. Step 04

    Deliver and strike

On-site and desk support through the event; equipment removed and circuits ceased or parked for the next date; post-event report issued.
