Overview

What is Hybrid & Multi-Cloud?

Most enterprises already run more than one cloud, usually by accident: a hyperscaler chosen by a development team, a SaaS estate, an on-premises data centre that is not going away and a growing edge footprint. Dollu Hybrid & Multi-Cloud turns that accident into an architecture. We design the connectivity, identity, security and operational model that lets workloads run in the right place - Dollu Cloud for latency-sensitive and data-resident systems, AWS, Azure or Google Cloud for services that only exist there, and your own facilities for what must stay on premises - while presenting one control plane to your teams.

Connectivity is the foundation. Dollu operates private interconnects to AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute and Google Cloud Interconnect at our London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Ashburn, Mumbai and Singapore PoPs, and extends them across our MPLS and SD-WAN fabric to your sites and to Dollu Cloud regions. Traffic between clouds never touches the public internet, latency is deterministic and egress from hyperscalers over private interconnect is materially cheaper than over the internet. Redundant circuits, BGP-based failover and per-VRF segmentation are standard.

Above the network we provide unified management: a single identity source federated to every cloud, consistent tagging and policy-as-code, a shared observability plane for metrics, logs and traces, and a service catalogue so teams request infrastructure the same way regardless of where it lands. Security posture is applied uniformly through cloud-native controls and, where you use them, Dollu managed firewall and SASE services. Our engineers hold current AWS, Azure and Google Cloud professional certifications and operate all four environments daily.

Cost governance is treated as engineering, not accounting. We baseline spend across every provider, allocate it to teams and products, model the true cost of running each workload in each location - including data transfer, licensing and operational overhead - and make placement recommendations you can act on. Commitment purchasing, rightsizing and scheduling are executed on your behalf if you choose managed FinOps, with savings reported monthly against the baseline.

Why Dollu

Why choose Dollu for hybrid & multi-cloud.

The advantages of buying from a carrier that owns its network, interconnects and operations - rather than a reseller.

  • Run each workload where it belongs

Data-resident and latency-sensitive systems on Dollu Cloud, cloud-native services on the hyperscaler that has them, legacy on premises - chosen deliberately with a placement model, not inherited from past decisions.

  • Private paths between every cloud

Direct Connect, ExpressRoute and Cloud Interconnect terminate on the Dollu backbone, so cloud-to-cloud and site-to-cloud traffic is private, low-latency and cheaper to egress.

  • One way of working for your teams

Same identity, same tagging, same pipelines, same request process and same dashboards regardless of provider - fewer specialists needed and fewer configuration gaps between environments.

  • Spend you can see and control

Every rupee, euro and dollar allocated to a product or team, with commitments, rightsizing and scheduling managed centrally. Customers typically reduce cloud spend by 25–40 percent in the first year.

  • Uniform security posture

Guardrails, encryption standards, logging and network segmentation applied consistently across clouds, with Dollu firewall, SASE and MDR services layered on where cloud-native controls are not enough.

Capabilities

Capabilities in detail.

Everything included with Hybrid & Multi-Cloud - the platform features, options and controls you get from day one.

  1. 01

    Hyperscaler private interconnects

Redundant 1G to 100G connections to AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute and Google Cloud Interconnect at London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Ashburn, Mumbai and Singapore, hosted or dedicated, with BGP failover.

  2. 02

    Multi-cloud network fabric

Layer-3 VRFs and layer-2 extensions stitched across Dollu MPLS, SD-WAN, Dollu Cloud regions and hyperscaler VPCs/VNets; centrally managed routing, segmentation and QoS with per-VRF visibility.

  3. 03

    Landing zones and guardrails

Account/subscription/project structures, IAM federation, network baselines, logging and policy-as-code guardrails built to each provider's well-architected framework and to a common Dollu standard.

  4. 04

    Unified observability

Metrics, logs and traces from every cloud and on-premises environment aggregated into one platform, with service-level dashboards, cross-cloud alert correlation and shared on-call routing.

  5. 05

    Workload placement modelling

Per-workload analysis of latency to users and dependencies, data-residency obligations, licensing terms, egress patterns and run cost across candidate locations, producing a ranked placement recommendation.

  6. 06

    FinOps and cost governance

Consolidated billing ingestion, tag-based allocation, anomaly detection, commitment and reservation management, rightsizing and scheduling automation, and monthly savings reporting against baseline.

  7. 07

    Data and application mobility

Replication and migration tooling for VMs, containers and databases between clouds; container platforms and Terraform modules kept portable so a placement decision can be revisited.

  8. 08

    Managed multi-cloud operations

Optional 24×7 operations across all connected clouds by Dollu SREs: patching, backup verification, incident response, change management and quarterly architecture reviews.

How it works

How it works.

From first conversation to live traffic - a tracked, engineer-led onboarding with a named owner at every step.

  1. Step 01

    Discover

We inventory every cloud account, on-premises environment, network path and cost line, and interview application owners to capture latency, residency and dependency requirements.

  2. Step 02

    Design

You receive a target architecture: interconnect topology, network segmentation, identity federation, landing-zone standards, observability model and a placement recommendation per workload.

  3. Step 03

    Connect and standardise

Private interconnects are turned up at the nearest PoPs, VRFs and landing zones are built from code, identity is federated and the observability and FinOps platforms are connected to every provider.

  4. Step 04

    Place and migrate

Workloads move according to the placement plan in prioritised waves, with rehearsed cutovers and rollback paths. Nothing moves before its network, security and monitoring are proven.

  5. Step 05

    Govern

Monthly cost and performance reviews, policy drift reporting and quarterly architecture reviews keep the estate aligned with the plan as your business and the providers change.

Use cases

Who uses this and why.

Typical deployments across carriers, enterprises, platforms and contact centres.

  • Manufacturing and industrial

Plant systems and MES on premises or at the edge, ERP and analytics in a hyperscaler, and OT data lakes on Dollu Cloud in-country, connected over private paths with deterministic latency.

  • Banking and financial services

Core systems in a regulated in-country region, digital channels on a hyperscaler, and DR across both, with segmentation and audit trails that satisfy RBI, PCI-DSS and GDPR examiners.

  • Healthcare providers

Patient records and imaging kept in-country on Dollu Cloud or on premises, cloud-native analytics and AI services consumed privately from a hyperscaler without exposing PHI to the internet.

  • SaaS and platform businesses

Run compute where customers are, use hyperscaler-only services where they add value, and keep the option to move workloads when pricing or performance changes.

  • Retail and consumer brands

Store and warehouse systems on SD-WAN, e-commerce on a hyperscaler, and contact-centre and voice workloads on Dollu Cloud next to the carrier core, all under one cost and security model.

Still have a question?

Ask our solutions team

No. Many customers engage us to connect and govern AWS, Azure and Google Cloud alongside their own data centres without any Dollu Cloud footprint. Where a workload would genuinely benefit from Dollu Cloud - usually latency to voice services or in-country residency - we will say so, but it is never a precondition.
