Overview

What is Cloud & Data-Centre Connectivity?

Dollu Cloud & Data-Centre Connectivity gives your network a private path into the public cloud. Instead of sending replication, database calls, VDI sessions and voice over the internet and hoping, you connect once to Dollu - from an MPLS VRF, an Ethernet circuit, an SD-WAN edge or a cross-connect in a data centre - and we deliver private virtual circuits into AWS Direct Connect, Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute, Google Cloud Interconnect and Oracle Cloud FastConnect from on-ramp PoPs in Europe, North America, India and Asia-Pacific.

Latency to the cloud becomes an engineered number rather than a variable, and egress bills fall because hyperscalers charge less for data leaving over private interconnects than over the internet. Hosted connections from 50 Mbps to 10 Gbps and dedicated 10G or 100G ports are available per cloud, per region, and can be resized as workloads grow. Because the on-ramps sit on the same backbone as your MPLS and Ethernet services, a branch in Pune can reach an application in Azure South India or AWS Mumbai without traversing head office or the public internet.

The same fabric connects data centres to each other and to the clouds. We are present in the major colocation campuses in London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Ashburn, Mumbai and Singapore and in regional facilities across our footprint, so you can interconnect a private cage with a public cloud region, join two clouds through a cloud router for multi-cloud designs, or extend a data-centre VLAN to a disaster-recovery site - each as a virtual circuit on ports you already own.

Everything is provisioned through the Dollu network-on-demand portal and API. Once your physical port or VRF hand-off is in place, virtual circuits to any cloud or data centre are ordered, resized and removed in hours rather than weeks, billed monthly or, for temporary migrations and test environments, by the hour. Utilisation, latency probes and BGP session state are visible in the same portal, and our 24×7 NOC monitors every port and virtual circuit against the SLA.

How it fits together

Reading the diagramA branch keeps whichever underlays make sense - MPLS for guaranteed performance, dedicated internet or broadband for capacity, 5G or LTE as wireless backup. The managed SD-WAN edge probes each path continuously and steers traffic per application: voice and video onto the path with the best latency, jitter and loss right now, bulk traffic onto the cheapest path that meets policy. Everything terminates at the nearest Dollu PoP, where the SD-WAN gateway, security stack and backbone give every site the same route to cloud on-ramps, data centres and the internet.
Why Dollu

Why choose Dollu for cloud connectivity.

The advantages of buying from a carrier that owns its network, interconnects and operations - rather than a reseller.

  • Predictable performance to the cloud

Private circuits with engineered latency and no internet congestion make cloud-hosted ERP, VDI, voice and storage behave like they are in your own data centre.

  • Lower egress bills

Hyperscalers discount data transfer over private interconnects; for data-heavy workloads the saving on egress often covers the cost of the circuit.

  • Private by design

Traffic never touches the public internet, MACsec is available on dedicated ports and your address space stays private end to end, which simplifies audit and compliance.

  • Multi-cloud without re-cabling

One physical port, many virtual circuits: add Azure alongside AWS, connect Oracle to Google Cloud through a cloud router or reach a new region without ordering new fibre.

  • Change in hours, not months

Provision, resize and tear down virtual circuits from the portal or API; spin up 10 Gbps for a migration weekend and drop back to 1 Gbps on Monday.

Capabilities

Capabilities in detail.

Everything included with Cloud & Data-Centre Connectivity - the platform features, options and controls you get from day one.

  1. 01

    Hyperscaler on-ramps

Self-service ordering, resizing and deletion of virtual circuits, BGP session configuration, real-time utilisation and latency views, and REST API for infrastructure-as-code pipelines.

  5. 05

    Integration with your Dollu WAN

Extend an MPLS VRF straight into a cloud VRF, terminate an Ethernet private line on a cloud port, or land SD-WAN tunnels on virtual edges reachable through the private on-ramp.

  6. 06

    Resilience options

Dual ports on separate devices, on-ramps in two locations, LAG on dedicated ports, BFD-enabled BGP for fast failover, and hyperscaler-side redundancy designs that meet each provider's SLA prerequisites.

  7. 07

    Encryption and segmentation

MACsec on 10G and 100G dedicated ports, IPsec overlays where required, and per-VC VLAN isolation so multiple business units or environments share ports without sharing traffic.

  8. 08

    Visibility and cost control

Per-VC utilisation, latency and packet-loss probes to each cloud region, BGP state and route counts, egress-volume reporting to reconcile against cloud invoices, and monthly SLA reports.

  9. 09

    Migration and hybrid architecture support

Design assistance for landing zones, hub-and-spoke and transit-gateway patterns, temporary high-bandwidth circuits for bulk migration and coordination with Dollu cloud and managed migration teams.

How it works

How it works.

From first conversation to live traffic - a tracked, engineer-led onboarding with a named owner at every step.

  1. Step 01

    Plan

We map your workloads, cloud regions and data centres, agree bandwidth and resilience per connection and confirm the on-ramp locations and hand-off type.

  2. Step 02

    Connect

Your physical port, cross-connect or MPLS VRF extension is delivered to the on-ramp PoP and validated; cloud-side resources such as ExpressRoute circuits or Direct Connect gateways are prepared.

  3. Step 03

    Provision

Virtual circuits are created in the portal, BGP sessions established with each cloud, routes verified and latency baselines recorded, usually within 24 hours of the port being live.

  4. Step 04

    Scale

Add clouds, regions and data centres or resize circuits on demand; the NOC monitors every port and VC, and your account manager reviews utilisation and egress quarterly.

Compare

MPLS, DIA, broadband or 4G/5G.

No single transport suits every site. Most Dollu WAN designs mix them - an SD-WAN overlay stitches the underlays together and steers voice and critical apps onto the best path.

Use cases

Who uses this and why.

Typical deployments across carriers, enterprises, platforms and contact centres.

  • Cloud migration and hybrid IT

Move workloads to AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or Oracle over private, high-bandwidth circuits, then run steady-state hybrid architectures with predictable performance.

  • Data-intensive and AI workloads

Feed cloud analytics, data lakes and GPU clusters from on-premises data at 10G or 100G with low latency and materially lower egress cost.

  • Backup and disaster recovery

Replicate to cloud storage or a secondary data centre over private circuits with the throughput and consistency that recovery objectives require.

  • Regulated industries

Banking, healthcare and public-sector organisations that must keep data off the public internet and evidence private, encrypted paths for auditors.

  • SaaS and multi-cloud platforms

Interconnect services running in several clouds and colocation sites through a single fabric, with API-driven provisioning that fits infrastructure-as-code.

  • Cloud contact centre and UC

Private paths from sites to cloud-hosted CCaaS, UCaaS and Microsoft Teams so voice and video quality is not hostage to internet conditions.

A private on-ramp gives you engineered latency and bandwidth, no dependence on internet routing, lower per-gigabyte egress charges from the cloud provider and a path that never touches the public internet, which matters for regulated data. Internet VPNs remain useful for small sites and backup, and many customers combine both.
