    Interconnect PoP

Overview

Dollu in Singapore.

Singapore is Dollu's Asia Pacific hub. Our Singapore interconnect PoP holds direct connections to the local mobile and fixed operators and to the Tier-1 carriers that transit Southeast Asian traffic, and it anchors low-latency routes to Mumbai, Hong Kong, Manila, Sydney and Jakarta. Voice into Singapore is terminated on Premium CLI-guaranteed, Standard and Wholesale tiers, and the same PoP handles SIP origination, SMPP messaging binds and private interconnects for customers with regional operations.

Singapore numbers are administered by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and issued through licensed operators. Dollu provisions 6-series fixed numbers, 3-series numbers for IP telephony, and 1800 domestic toll-free numbers, with 800 international toll-free available for inbound from abroad. Business KYC uses your ACRA registration or an equivalent for foreign entities, and numbers can be delivered to your SIP platform, Dollu's cloud PBX or CCaaS, or Microsoft Teams. Number porting follows IMDA's inter-operator process.

For A2P SMS, Singapore's SMS Sender ID Registry (SSIR) requires organisations to register alphanumeric sender IDs; messages from unregistered IDs are labelled as likely scams. Dollu registers your IDs, requires a valid UEN, and delivers over direct connections to Singtel, StarHub, M1 and SIMBA. We also enforce Do Not Call Registry checks for marketing traffic under the PDPA. Enterprises use Singapore as a base for regional contact centres, and Dollu supplies the numbers, trunks, connectivity and cloud to run them.

Regulatory & compliance

What you need to know before you order.

Our compliance desk manages the paperwork; here is what to expect.

  • IMDA numbering and KYC

Singapore numbers are issued under IMDA's numbering framework through licensed operators. Business customers provide ACRA registration (UEN), a local address and an authorised contact; foreign entities can qualify with equivalent incorporation documents subject to operator approval.

  • SMS Sender ID Registry

Organisations sending SMS with alphanumeric sender IDs must register them on the SSIR, which requires a UEN. Messages from unregistered IDs are relabelled to indicate a likely scam, so registration must be complete before campaigns and OTP flows go live.

  • CLI on international calls

IMDA requires incoming international calls to be marked with a '+' prefix and blocks overseas calls that spoof local numbers. Traffic presenting a Singapore CLI from abroad must be legitimately assigned, and Dollu screens for this at ingress.

  • PDPA and Do Not Call

Marketing calls and messages to Singapore numbers must be checked against the Do Not Call Registry unless clear consent exists, and personal data is governed by the PDPA. Dollu offers DNC screening and can keep processing in-region.

Still have a question?

Ask our solutions team

To use an alphanumeric sender ID you must register it on the SMS Sender ID Registry, and registration requires a Singapore UEN. Foreign businesses without a UEN can send from numeric long numbers or short codes with restrictions; we will recommend the right approach for your traffic.
