Interconnect PoP
Dollu in Germany.
Germany is served from Dollu's Frankfurt interconnect PoP, one of the most connected locations in Europe, where we hold direct interconnects with German fixed and mobile operators and the Tier-1 carriers that transit German traffic. Termination into German geographic, mobile and service ranges is offered on Premium CLI-guaranteed, Standard and Wholesale tiers, and origination on German numbers is delivered over SIP with very low latency to customers colocated in Frankfurt or connected via our Amsterdam and London PoPs.
German numbering is administered by the Bundesnetzagentur (BNetzA). Dollu provisions geographic numbers in German local networks for customers with an address in the relevant area, 032 national numbers for nomadic and VoIP use without a location requirement, and 0800 freephone numbers for inbound campaigns. Business KYC covers commercial register extract, address and an authorised signatory. Numbers can be routed to your SIP platform, Dollu's cloud PBX or CCaaS, or Microsoft Teams, and porting follows the German inter-carrier process.
A2P SMS to German subscribers is delivered over direct connections to Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone, Telefónica and 1&1 networks. Alphanumeric sender IDs are supported and there is no national registry, but marketing traffic requires prior consent under the UWG and GDPR. German enterprises frequently pair Frankfurt-based cloud and hosting with Dollu's SIP trunking and Teams Direct Routing, and our GDPR-aligned processing keeps call and message data within the EU by default.

What you need to know before you order.
Our compliance desk manages the paperwork; here is what to expect.
BNetzA numbering and KYC
Geographic numbers may only be assigned to subscribers with a residence or business address in the local network area, and 032 numbers are the BNetzA-designated range for nomadic use. KYC covers commercial register extract, address proof and signatory identity.
TKG CLI rules on international calls
Under the Telecommunications Act, calls entering Germany from abroad that present a German geographic or service number as CLI must have the CLI suppressed, with an exception for German mobile numbers. Dollu applies these rules automatically at ingress.
GDPR and UWG for messaging
Marketing SMS requires prior express consent under the Act against Unfair Competition, and personal data processing must comply with GDPR and the BDSG. Dollu processes German traffic within the EU by default and offers data processing agreements.
Emergency calling
110 and 112 must be reachable from every German number with location routing to the responsible control centre. Dollu records a service address per number and supports the BNetzA technical directive for emergency calls via our German partners.
